吵输别人是一回事，英文可不能输给别人！
pissing contest
piss是小便，直接翻译就是”尿尿比赛”，
意指互相挑衅、毫无意义的较量，
是比较粗俗的用法，常用于男性之间。
例句：
John and Jimmy got into a pissing contest again.
The teacher even didn’t want to stop them from fighting.
John和Jimmy又开始进到无意义的争吵了，老师甚至不想要阻止他们了。
dirty look
别误会了，这可不是看起来很脏的样子！
其实是指人的脸很臭，一脸不屑或是不认同的样子！
例句：
The little boy gave his mother a dirty look when they argued about the political issue.
那个小男孩在和他妈妈讨论政治议题时，露出了不认同的神情。
throw elbows
elbow是手肘，把手肘丢出去，在中文的意思就比较接近摩拳擦掌，
准备要来打一架！看起来相当有侵略性。
例句：
It seems that we have to throw elbows and show who is the boss here!
看起来我们似乎要让他们瞧瞧，谁才是这里的老大！
have a chip on one’s shoulder
chip是洋芋片，也有木块的意思，
因此这个片语用来形容某人的心里有疙瘩，
或心里有根刺，也就是耿耿于怀！
例句：
Even though he denied it, apparently he has got a chip on his shoulder
about the promotion of his best friend.
尽管他否认，很显然他因为挚友的升迁而感到耿耿于怀。
at each other’s throats
throat是喉咙，字面翻译是在对方的喉咙上，衍伸为激烈的争吵。
例句：
The father and the son are at each other’s throats,
arguing about the family trip next month.
那个父亲跟儿子正为了下个月的家庭旅行大动肝火。
give someone a piece of your mind
乍看之下好像是个很浪漫的英文用法，
那你可就大错特错了！它指的是严厉地斥责某人。
例句：
It’s ridiculous for the company to fire employees for no reason.
I will report to the police and give it a piece of my mind.
公司无故解雇员工是荒谬的。我将会报警并且严厉地斥责公司。
have it out with someone
有争吵，当然也有和好的时候，
接下来要介绍给大家的就是「把话说开」，也是相当实用哦！
例句：
The tension between Eric and Joanna has been a while.
They should have it out with each other and solve the problem.
Eric和Joanna之间的冲突已经持续一阵子了。他们应该要出来谈谈并解决问题。
add insult to injury
injury是受伤，insult是侮辱，已经受伤了却持续的羞辱，
也就是中文的雪上加霜，在伤口上洒盐！
例句：
It was definitely not Lisa’s day today. She failed the test and to add insult to injury,
she missed the last bus back home.
今天对Lisa而言是非常倒楣的一天，她考试不及格，更惨的是她错过回家的末班车。
